*In a timeline where Moon retrieved Star before leaving to confront Ludo in the temple*
Servant: "Queen Butterfly. A visitor from another dimension has arrived and has requested an audience."
"Moon": "Oh? Does he or she have an appointment?"
Servant: "He does not, though he claims to be from Earth and is supposedly welcome if you are not busy, M'lady."
"Moon": "...Very well. Send him in. And do hurry. I am never unoccupied for long."
Servant: "At once, Your Highness."
//
Marco: "G-Greetings, Your Highness."
"Moon": "Marco. How lovely to see you again."
Marco: "Uh... Likewise?"
"Moon": "I trust you are curious about the whereabouts of my daughter."
Marco: "Yeah."
"Moon": "...Guards, leave us. I am having a private discussion with my guest."
*Guards shuffle out*
Marco: "Thanks, Queen Moon. That was getting a little awkward."
"Moon": "We are alone for the moment. You may refrain from referring to me as my mother, dear."
Marco: "Right. Sorry, Star. It's just you look like her and sound like her and-"
Star: "I understand. You don't have to remind me. I require my phone's alarm at times to remind me of who I am on the inside. I mean that in a literal sense, mind you..."
Marco: "So, how's the queen-life treating you?"
Star: "Oh, the usual: meetings followed by meetings followed by meal-time followed by meetings and so on..."
Marco: "Wow... I don't envy you much. Sorry you have to play perfect-queen every day."
Star: "...It is for the best. As Star, I would normally be against this. Considering that I have the mind of Moon Butterfly, however, I see things (quite literally) from her perspective."
Marco: "I can't believe your dad was okay with them making you into a rubber stand-in for your mom."
Star: "Oh, he's still of the notion that I simply had an early growth-spurt. He's been more than willing to go along with my charade as a result."
Marco: "Heh. Yeah. I like King River. He's a cool guy."
Star: "Quite. But enough about me. How are things at home? Has your relationship with Jackie Lynn Thomas been productive?"
Marco: "Actually, we broke up. I guess I Marco'ed things up one too many times or says my girlfriend."
Star: "Pardon?"
Marco: "I, uh, started dating again. Hooked up with another rad girl."
Star: "Janna?"
Marco: "Wha-?! How'd you know that?"
Star: "It was no surprise she fancied you. Trust me. I would avoid your closet in the middle of the night if you can help it, by the way."
Marco: "Okay?"
Star: "Yes, well... It was nice chatting with you again, Marco. I am afraid, however, I have to prepare for several appointments today. You really should make yourself scarce."
Marco: "I get it. I'll get out of your... 'hair' for now, Your Queenship. I'll stop by again sometime soon."
Star: "About that... I'm afraid I need you to stop arriving so frequently. Guests and citizens may begin to ask questions that may make this ruse more difficult. I would not ask that if it were not important, but the true queen has not returned in quite a while. I have to remain Moon Butterfly indefinitely. In fact, it is best that you call me on the mirror... and only for emergencies!"
Marco: "...Star?"
Star: "I still consider you my closest friend, but as the Queen, I have my duties. Sometimes that comes with sacrifices. My mother knows that, and so did hers..."
Marco: "Alright. I believe you. I guess I'll see you around..."
"Moon": "Farewell, Marco Diaz. Do give my love to your parents when you return!"
